Cold water storage tanks don’t stay clean on their own. Over time sediment, rust, biofilm, insects and debris build up, especially where lids don’t fit, vents are unscreened or water sits unused. Commercial Water Tank Cleaning and Disinfection

Every clean is planned around your building so disruption is kept to a minimum. A typical clean includes:

1. Survey – an experienced, certified engineer inspects the tank, access, lid, vents, overflows and pipework, and you receive a quotation with a risk assessment, method statement and estimated timescale of works.
2. Keeping water available – where needed we set up a mains bypass or temporary tank so the building keeps its supply while the tank is out of service.
3. Drain down and clean – the tank is drained, then sediment, scale and debris are removed and the internal surfaces cleaned.
4. Chlorination – the tank and associated pipework are chlorinated to disinfect the system.
5. Flush, refill and handover – the system is flushed, refilled and returned to service, and we talk you through anything we found that needs attention.

Water Tank Servicing and Remedial Works

Cleaning a tank only helps if the underlying faults are fixed too. During a clean or a separate service visit our engineers can carry out remedial works including:
